China Painters Display At Bank Chelton Event
A display featuring four paintings by the China Painters group opens today at Bank Chelton and runs through June 6. The show includes a national exhibit with an old American flag loaned by Arthur Barton of West Smith Street. Local history notes highlight Charles Barton as a flag bearer with a New York State regiment. Also announced is the promotion of Weldon Tet Davin to manager and director of Jordan Ambulance Service in Upsher County and Gilmer, Texas, with Davin listed as an EMT and active in multiple rescue and heart associations. The Corry Area Chapter plans to recruit new members. a regular meeting is set for June 6 at the Shrout home. The Catholic Daughters of America Conception No. 35 held its May meeting at St Elizabeth Parish Center with initiation and reports, and Mrs. Doyle announced upcoming attendance at the CDA state convention in Philadelphia. The evening honored Mrs. Mayilean Nledomys with an award.
