Sparta Woman Killed By Tractor

Meadvile Area Man Charged With Murder In Son Death
MEADVILLE Ivan James Kramer 37 a mechanic from R D 3 Conneautville was charged with murder last night in the beating death of his 2 month old son Joseph Frank. The charge was filed by State Police Trooper Ronald J Lococo before Alderman Don Ladner. Kramer committed to Crawford County Prison with a preliminary hearing set for Friday at 10 15 a m. Kramer returned home after an outing and allegedly gave the baby a beating. Realizing the infant was dead Kramer and his wife took the body and their 15 month old son driving around the area. Autopsy said intracranial injuries from a fractured skull. The infant died at 8 00 p m yesterday according to the coroner. Rev Lloyd Whitcomb said Kramer told him the infant died and they drove for several hours with the body in the car. The couple were not members of Whitcomb’s church. The Ladies Aid Society had provided infant clothing at birth.
