City Probes Error In Trailer Fire Call

Three city officials planned a meeting to determine the cause of a delay in fire equipment reaching a trailer fire at McCoy Trailer Court Tuesday night. Pat Perry, owner of Parry's Inn, said she had called for an ambulance and fire trucks, and a tape from No 1 fire station will be reviewed to reveal what happened. The No 1 station dispatches multiple fire companies, including Elgin Beaverdam, and the first arrival found the Butters trailer ablaze with Mr. Butters removed by Perry Inn patrons before EMS arrived.
