Miss Weingard Weds James Engle in Union City Ceremony
The double ring wedding of Miss Carolyn Gay Weingard and James Lee Engle took place at 2:30 pm on April 22 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Rev. James C. Grove officiated with Rev. Ivan Hunsberger assisting, as relatives and friends attended a reception for 400 at the Corry Motor Lodge.

Plan Party To Benefit Erie County Hospital
The Women’s Auxiliary of Erie County Hospital will hold its annual spring card party Maytime on May 10 in the hospital dining room. Dessert at 7:90 then a fashion show by Hazel Daly Yeager. Proceeds will furnish a summer patio for patients. Tickets from committee members. reservations by calling four listed hostesses. Also note Ellwood City death of cartoonist William F. Kegel.

The Bible Clubs of Corry area held their annual rally at First Baptist Church with Rev. Virgil Endsley presiding. The teenage club led by George Fox performed songs and recitations, with Wilma Hopkins on accompaniment and Dar lene Miller on the offertory solo. Awards were given for Bible drill winners, poster contest prizes, and top club attendance, with the Beav erdam and teenage clubs receiving trophies. A speaker from Erie, Rev. Ed Fuller, delivered an illustrated message for children and youth.
