Out-Of-Staters Targeted as PA Budget Seeks Aid Halt
Harrisburg AP reports two Democratic lawmakers on the joint appropriations panel urged ending state aid for out-of-state students at private medical schools in Pennsylvania. They said PA pays up to 3900 dollars per student while four area medical colleges push for 7.1 million dollars for next year. Schools defend enrollment goals and urge state-related status to qualify for aid.
