Pittsburgh May 4 Motor cycle accidents killed four men and injured others today. Geof, 21, of 1928 Sixty Avenue Ford City Pa died at St Frances hospital from a fractured skull after his motorcycle struck a telegraph pole in Millvale Tuesday. A Be Metricus, 20, suffered a fractured leg and internal injuries when his motorcycle ran into a telegraph pole.
Washington May 4 Senator Thomas Walsh Democrat Man- Hand said he was impelled by events to stop further efforts to promote his nomination in Montana or elsewhere He plans to notify Montana Democrats meeting May 8 to select delegates to the Houston convention and Montana will likely instruct for Smith per Bruce Kremer Montana's Democratic national committeeman The move follows California and signals no chance for Walsh's candidacyBruce Dowell is not involved in the summary
An explosion at the Open Hearth Department of the Duquesne works in Duquesne Pa today buried three men. They were rushed to the company hospital where nurses said their burns were not serious. Company officials are investigating the cause.
May 4 Philadelphia. The career of Dr Ridgar Fahs Smith noted chemist and provost of the University of Pennsylvania from 1911 to 193? ended last night in its hospital. He had worked forty years to build up the university and died after a short illness with pneumonia. Small was former president of the American Chemical Society and in 1926 received the Priestley Medal for outstanding achievement in chemistry.
Rochelle, Ul May 4 The Rochelle school for the deaf closed after six of seven pupils suddenly gained hearing at an evangelistic meeting led by Rev Bosworth and St Paul Rader’s Chicago gospel group. The six born deaf included Mary Houston Russell Houston Sam Houston Birgira Houston les Parkminn and Gayther Bellows. The remaining pupil will be taken to the meeting in hopes she may also be cured. The revival leader called the incident a miracle and said no ill effects followed.

He had been a purser with a trans Atlantic steamship line based in New Orleans and operated from Cuba for years. A son of the late Mr and Mrs Jerome Graves of 5 Pleasant Street, he was about fifty and frequently visited Corry though not residing here since youth. No funeral arrangements have been received.
A Federal Trade Commission inquiry transcript shows denial that former Wisconsin Senator Bryn Lenroot received 211 00 from utilities interests for backing the Walsh resolution. It states checks to Lenroot were routed through his law firm Lensut Danson Smith Lovett. Greenville, Pa May 4 1001 Callahan 12 of Chambers Ave was accidentally shot and killed Thursday afternoon while playing with ten other boys at tarset shon. Callahan died in hospital after the shot from a .22 rifle fired by Joby Shik during a practice session.
