United Press reports the Bremen monoplane F-13 carrying Lin crew landed near Washington then headed to New York where Mayor Walker’s reception committee greeted them. The flier party will tour the midwest May 9 to May 18 visiting Chicago Milwaukee St Louis and Detroit before returning east.

Large Barn Destroyed by Fire Near Columbus
Fire of unknown origin today destroyed a large barn on the George Christensen farm near Columbus, with basement structure, along with farm machinery and several hundred chickens lost. Christensen was away. the blaze was discovered by a neighbor who called Kielghborn for help. A nearby barn was threatened but saved by neighbor volunteers. Loss to Christensen not yet tallied.

United Press reports the Italian airship Italia seen over Arholma Sweden en route to Yudsee Norway Spitzbergen and the North Pole. It is due near Vadsee Norway around Friday noon after a 1000 mile leg from Stolp Germany. Refueling then Spitzbergen for polar flight preparations. Weather along the route was clear and messages indicated all was well.
