Piersall Makes Second Comeback With Cleveland Indians
Veteran outfielder Piersall, after eight Major League seasons, returns for a second comeback with Cleveland in 1959. He initially starred for Boston from 1953 to 1958, leading the AL in games played and doubles, then traded to Cleveland for Wertz and Geiger. He struggles for regular center-field duty as Francona and Hardy compete. In other spring action, Cubs top Giants 7-4 and Score's shoulder flares in exhibition loss to Red Sox.
