Democrats Defeat GOP In Voter Signups At Local Registration

A six hour registration session at the Municipal Building yielded 362 total signups with 179 Democrats, 122 Republicans, and 12 Independents. Four Republicans switched to Democrat while four Democrats moved to GOP. 17 address changes occurred and 36 new voters under 21 registered, 20 GOP and 16 Democrat. The Democratic edge, though clear, did not alter the long standing GOP lead.
