Meadville Induction List Shows Fourteen Drafted Men
Meadville selective service officials announced a draft list for Wednesday April 2 with fourteen men ordered up for induction and three additional draftees placed on standby to cover transfers. Alfred Gratt of R D 4 Meadville sustained a right forearm fracture at Meadville Malleable Iron Co. and was hospitalized in satisfactory condition. Titusville police report no enemy casualties after a stay dog incident, with a shoot to kill order issued as the operation continues through September 22.

Man arraigned on drunken driving after crash injures two women
Stanley Anderson, 23, pleaded not guilty at arraignment before Alderman William Heisler on drunk driving charges from a collision that seriously injured two women, Mee Lorences Chin, 28, and Ann Cywinski, 82, who remain in fair condition at Humot Hospital. Anderson was remanded to county jail for 4 hours.
