Hope Returns From Moscow See American Culture Fascination
Comedian Bob Hope arrived from a week in Moscow reporting Russians admire American clothes rock n roll and humor though wary of American slogans. He filmed a TV show the first by a U.S. entertainer to be telecast April 5 and said Russians gave him top treatment while noting about 40 types of people observed and American entertainment interest. Meanwhile Eric Joe and Dorothy Samec say they are building a $14 000 home for triplets born recently, funded mostly by materials donated though construction runs through fall.
