Relief Corps Card Party Planned by Women's Relief Corps
The Women's Relief Corps Auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic met at Emmanuel Church to plan a card party and hospitality for March. A noon tureen dinner honored Velma Long, with birthdays celebrated and a note read from Anna Babcock. Members signed sympathy cards for ill members Mae Hall and Mary Robbins, and discussed Memorial Day events and flag essays for Corry schools. The April hospitality slate and a March 24 fundraiser were announced, with reservations via Mrs Sargent at 665-2182. An April 7 Seattle World's Fair item noted Kennedy opening the event remotely from Miami.
