Girl Scout Week Observed by Union City Troops
Girl Scout Week activities featured 2nd Brownie events in Corry and Union City including church services at Emmanuel Episcopal and St. Pauls Lutheran, badge awards, cake, and a candlelight ceremony. Troop 299 hosted awards in St Thomas School. Junior Troop 299 held a Court of Awards with candles and Juliette Gordon Low tribute. A roller skating party at Canadohta Lake and a quilt display at National Bank of Corry complemented the observances.

Premiers at Church for Youth Event and Concert
The Evangelical United Methodist Church hosts a youths event with The Premiers of Youngstown Ohio. A 3 p.m. concert, film, songfest and 6 p.m. dinner precede evening performances at 7:30 tonight and 9:45, 11 a.m., 6 and 7 p.m. tomorrow featuring Lynn Taylor Bonnie Jo Nobile Scott Cole and others. The cookie sale runs 10 days to March 26.

Corry residents attended Lawrence Welk’s Miami Beach concert where about 8000 fans enjoyed Mr Welk’s full orchestra and singers. The Bagleys plan winter in Miami with family before returning to Lancaster. Auxiliary meetings, Grange sessions, luncheons with fashion shows, and an open house for a golden wedding anniversary are announced. A St Patrick’s dance to benefit CHEER Inc. rounds out the week with tickets at Grice Jewelers and at the door.

Relief Corps Hears Thomas Lathrop in Corry
Thomas Lathrop, Stanford Hose Company Fire Chief, spoke at an all day meeting of the Women's Relief Corps at the Corry Grange Hall on Park Street. A noon tureen dinner preceded the program. Mrs. Manley Robbins Sr. presided over the business meeting. A former member was reinstated. Elsie Newman received a 25 year pin and her photo will go into the Memory Book. April hospitality committee members were named as Florence Caster Aletha Hamilton and Winnie Pierce. Maud Bennink won the meals award. The next meeting is set for April 5.
