Fire Levels Clymer Area Farm Home
A two story frame house owned by David Pierson, about three miles north of Clymer, was destroyed yesterday afternoon with an estimated loss of 5 000 dollars. The fire was possibly caused by an overheated furnace. Mrs Pierson turned in the alarm at 4 45 p m and firemen remained on scene until after 5 00 p m. Pierson and his three children were not home. Firemen Merton Quer reveld and George Winkler suffered slight burns not requiring treatment. Water was supplied by three Clymer tanker pumpers and help from Findley Lake who pumped water from a farm pond. Arthur Howles, Clymer fire chief, and Bus Bradley of Findley Lake coordinated the effort.
