Kane March 17 story of a 11 year old boy who leaped into icy Evergreen Park pond to rescue a seven year old girl after she broke through the ice. John Campbell, son of Mr and Mrs Campbell, swam and dragged the child to shore as onlookers watched.
In Erie on March 4 a six year old girl named Catherine Moalvilly from BU3 Chapa Street was struck by a van on a city street. She suffered a fractured collarbone and was treated at St Vincent’s Hospital before being released to recover at home. Police report indicates the injury was not considered serious.
Mae 17 and a driver named Princ Mondeicles were involved when a deer darted into a machine near Steetlonenje. The collision caused damage to the vehicle and the animal fled the scene, leaving authorities to investigate the incident and assess injuries.

Eugene Harrington a 19 year old from Olean sustained multiple rib fractures and seven shocks after his motorcycle collided head on with a car near Dead Man's Curve in Fentonville. He was taken to W C A hospital in Jamestown in good condition. another collision near New Inn injured Violet Barker of Little Valley. Floyd Numaker of Warren was the driver in one vehicle. the other driver could not be learned. Victims were treated and released. authorities noted pavement hole contributed to the crashes.
Burt Storum, 76, who lived alone on Cob ham Park Road near Warren, died from burns after his two story home burned early in the morning. Neighbors saw explosions from a shotgun believed to have been inside the house as flames spread. Rescuers, including Marder Spees Lutz Brandt Val entime and Emma Lutz, moved Storum from the scene to Dr Chapman and then to a hospital for treatment.

Three youths escaped a wreck when their canoe capsized in Wy water near Bris. They swam to Cascade house and reached shore. Names given are Robert Searigil 17 of Peach street Grant Allen 18 and Robert Damon 17 of West Seventh street. Coast Guard patrol responded but all three were safe. The overturned canoe and coats were recovered for owners. Capt McCune reported the incident and that the boys ran ashore without waiting for help.
