Drowning of Bruce Kaiser After Creek Raft Incident
In Conneaut Ohio, 15-year-old Bruce Kaiser drowned yesterday afternoon after a rope raft rolled over in the creek. Phillip Kako, 17, Lakeville, said they found the fiberglass raft and launched it against warning. Bruce disappeared beneath the water as swift currents and ice hindered the rescue. Police and fire units, joined by volunteers and skin diver teams, searched with grappling hooks and a net stretched downstream.
