Three members of the Erie station of the State Highway Patrol supervised the examination of new automobile drivers today. Five tested so far with careful results noted. Patrols will visit Curry on the first Wednesdays of each month for examinations and tests are offered in Erie, Meadville, Warren, and nearly every state city. Motorists may take exams where they choose until successful. The patrol will police state roads as weather allows and several arrests have already been made in Erie for failure to show operator permits. No arrests yet for violations of shipway laws up to this morning.
