Narrow auto skid causes near-fatal wreck near Kepbel farm
A Willys Knight coupe skidded on a slick East Columbius Avenue and overturned, narrowly missing Mr. Kent of Buffalo who was nearby. The car struck a fence post, punched a hole in the top, and threw four occupants clear as the wreck damaged the vehicle. one salesman suffered leg bruises while Kent escaped serious injury.

The dirigible Los Angeles returned from the Panama Canal zone and was walked into its hangar at Lakehurst after a pre dawn landing in a blizzard. A 49 mile wind snapped the mooring cable, crew of 150 battled the gale as the ship rose twice before a successful ground landing. Four crew members clung to the cabin rails during ascent and one man was injured in a fall. Miller Shoop and Richard Shoop were spending the day in Etna before departing.

Millions In Income Taxes Paid In First March Installment
United Press reports millions of dollars began flowing into the treasury as the first March installment of income taxes was transferred from Federal Reserve Banks. Officials expect about 3,500,000 individuals and 250,000 corporations to contribute over 4 billion dollars, with total March collections near 480 million, down from last year. About 4.5 million filers will submit returns, but roughly half have taxable income. 256,000 of 430,000 corporations pay taxes. Parts of amphibian plane found off Cape Charles City
Parts of an amphibian plane used by three naval airmen who disappeared last Monday were located by the Navy four miles south of Cape Charles City on Chesapeake Bay's eastern shore. Pneumonia Fatal for Johnstown Rector Stronbom
The Rev. Charles A. Stronbom, 54, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Johnstown, died suddenly last Sunday of pneumonia after receiving communion. A major blaze swept Lorain's business district destroying ten stores and damaging three large buildings. The fire caused an estimated loss around $500,000 and cut the city power, forcing firms to halt operations.
