Radio Commission to Regulate Air As Proms Offer Less Noise
The Commerce Department will run licensing under a new radio act to clear interference and chaos in reception. The new commission will evaluate licenses, times and power, likely taking months. Many stations may operate for up to 60 days, with current licenses canceled and renewed under the act. Public broadcasts like concerts and lectures are promised though listeners must await orderly regulation and new forms.
