Showcase office building features silent electric heat system
A Pennsylvania Electric Company Northwestern Division showcase describes a new Corry Jamestown office building heated entirely by 480-volt electric panels and immersion elements. The system stores hot water in a large tank heated to 120 to 180 degrees, with nineteen ceiling ducts and independent thermostats for each of nineteen blower units. Zones allow heating or cooling specific areas, while outside thermostats regulate water temperature for consistent comfort.
