Authentic History of Corry Review

AUTHENTIC HISTORY OF CORRY There have been many histories of the city of Corry written by many men who have resided here for short periods of time, but perhaps none of them as authentic as they should be. In this short article the writer will touch on salient points in the past life of this busy mart of trade. It notes Pontiac founded the area and his followers set out to organize a raid on Detroit. Washington and Lafayette visited, and Washington confessed to Lafayette about modifying statements made when his father caught him with a hatchet. The piece also mentions a large western trout hatchery near Corry, now a beauty spot, with fishing redirected to eastern parts of the state.
