A United Press summary reports one crew member killed in the Italia crash on May 25th with Vincenzo Pomella killed in the forward engine turret as the airship sank and drifted east. He had been staying with Mr and Mrs John Harris south of the city. The drowning occurred in the flooded creek while he swam with brothers and other Tryonville youths.
President Coolidge on vacation in Superior Wisconsin chose the Brule River for fishing over Cedar Island Lodge despite abundant trout elsewhere. He and Mrs. Coolidge report improved health as aides describe his rest at Henry Clay Pierce estate.
