The Armory hosted a large healing service with delegations from Union City Elgin Beaverdam Bear Lake Pittsfield and Clymer. A severe wind storm swept the upper Lackawanna, Wayne, and Susquehanna regions causing widespread damage. Homes were destroyed or damaged, and a boxcar office was leveled in Ere rail yard, killing 21-year-old Miss Prances Kelly of Susquehanna. In Archbald and Carbondale, multiple residences were destroyed. A divorce notice for Betty Puree versus Bert Pierce appears along with a sheriff’s notice from Erie County dated June 1, 1928.
