Suspects Identified In Auto Theft Near Wattsburg
Two Erie men, Gary R. Walker aged 20 and John Follyn aged 18, were identified after a chase through swampy terrain by troopers Richard Wargo and Charles P. Toth. Walker remained jailed on $1,500 bond. Follyn posted bond and awaits a June 29 preliminary hearing on auto larceny charges. The stolen vehicle had been reported June 18 from Lee Carey in Girard.

Viet Cong Resumes Offensive Across South Vietnam
Viet Cong forces overran four district towns and a battalion command post in separate attacks, the first major push since the Dong Kopi battle two weeks earlier. At Duc Hoa near Saigon, 44 infantrymen were killed and 40 wounded. In Kontum province another town near the Laotian border lost radio contact with 200 defenders. Casualties also reported in a Bien Hoa base incident and at a crowded Saigon restaurant bombing. An American prisoner was executed in retaliation for Viet Cong actions. US Marines suffered drownings when their M48 tank fell into a 12 foot hole. another explosion at Bien Hoa killed one American and two Australians and wounded ten Australians. Fifteen US Navy A-4 Skyhawks attacked a Hanoi area ammunition depot but faced only light anti-aircraft fire and returned.
