Washington AP The EPA warns a major nuclear plant accident could kill two to ten times more people than NRC estimates and the long term cancer deaths could reach 66 000 to 330 000, far higher than the Rasmussen report suggested. The review notes weaknesses in immediate fatality projections and the chance of a core meltdown with a radioactive cloud over densely populated areas.
Dayle A. Duell, 19, of 119 East Congeres, arrested on a warrant at 3:43 a.m. and jailed awaiting bond. Police report he has two prior strikes. Duell was also charged with a drug and cosmetic law violation after officers found contraband during a Stop 'n' Go Store arrest for a prior fine.
