New Building Planned at County Home
Warren June 25 The main building at the Rouse hospital county home is inadequate for present needs. Mrs Martha J Magee director of the Bureau of Assistance Harrisburg conferred with commissioners and county officials Monday. A two story structure is planned at the farm to provide hospital quarters and space for all housed women. The existing hospital founded 1861 by Henry T Rouse is overcrowded and fire hazards exist with men on third story and in two floors above the power room. The new building will be erected without extra cost to taxpayers.
