Open chute ties clue to air mail plane mystery
Unopened parachute found beside a partially wrecked air mail plane in the Wasatch range is linked to missing Western Air Express pilot Maury Graham. Local shearers Ward Mortenson and Bibren O'Boton helped locate the chute and wreckage, while associate Carson in Cedar City identified the chute as Graham's. Western Air Express reports the mail compartment intact. the right wing damaged as a search squad is dispatched for Graham's body.

Golden Links Class Outing Enjoyed by Church Members
The Golden Links Class of the Methodist Episcopal church spent yesterday afternoon at the home of Mr and Mrs H B Reed on West Smith street with 65 members and families. Games visiting and a holmitemis picnic dinner were served with Lange tables arranged on the lawn and a 6 80 o clock meal. Mrs Har Hasbrouck chaired the outing assisted by committees.

Gasoline tax to drop one cent next month
States will reduce the gasoline tax by one cent per gallon at midnight June 30 as commissioner Benjamin G. Bynon of the Motor Vehicles Bureau notes no special order is needed. Drop Inquiry Into Charges Against Bishop
Washington June 25 The Justice Department’s inquiry into charges that Bishop James Cannon and the Methodist Board of Temperance, Prohibition and Prayerful have violated the corrupt acts has been virtually abandoned. Assistant Attorney General Oscar Hhring said no legal evidence of violations was found and whether they operated in more than one state remains doubtful under federal law.
