Dubois Pennsylvania June 24 The widow Clara Petergan age 60 was found hanging in her home with signs of a struggle. Police say she had been dead several days and had bruises with a disordered room. A small sum of money was found suggesting robbery was unlikely.
Miss Robertte Troy Gillette married Dr Addison A Harmon in a garden ceremony at 3 p m on East Smith Street officiated by Rev Frank A Wimmer. About 100 guests attended with bridal party including Miss Berenice Gillette and Attendants. The couple exchanged vows beneath floral arbor as music filled the garden setting.
In Pittsburgh on June 24 the grand jury voted to indict Mayor Ghos H Kline on misdemeanor in office charges tied to a city purchasing scandal. Presentments followed over a week of testimony on irregularities in the department of supplies and named Bertram L Siicoop as a discharged supplier.

United States Steel common stock rose to 100 a share in New York trading on June 24 marking the first touch of the level since May 22. The 1.67 point gain from the prior low lifts the year’s valuation of 8,695,000 shares by about 147 million dollars.
Harrisburg June 24 Governor Pinchot signed two Mason bills ending a long labor dispute. The laws bar courts from issuing injunctions in labor fights without open hearings and require jury trials for indirect criminal contempt of restraining orders or injunctions. Introduced by Rep. Gordon Mason of Luzerne County.
Hanover reports the mono plane Winnié Mae traveling from Hera to Berlin in a 7:20 p m leg of its Atlantic crossing. Pennsylvania Railroad directors vote to reduce salaries across executives and officers in a semi monthly meeting. Veterans Bureau administrator Hines urges Congress to set uniform veterans benefits and a national care policy. Navy reports a small fire on the Los Angeles in its hangar at Lakehurst with minor damage. FCC upholds Ratio Corporation of America in license retention for its large communications and broadcasting network.
France partially accepts President Hoover’s one year debt holiday plan. Paris insists on continuing the Young plan’s unconditional annuities and seeks to channel funds through the world bank for Germany’s relief with parliamentary approval pending. Italy also signals acceptance with a condition on Germany dropping the Austrian customs union.
Firemen battled flames at platea early morning as the Cook Brothers lumber mill and its post office burned. The blaze caused about $75,000 in damage to the mill and $90 in government materials and stamps were destroyed. No cause is yet established. The Plates post office was also ruined in the blaze.
About 1,000 miners returned to work under a peace accord after a three week strike. State police guarded mines after a deputy sheriff’s clash with picketers at the Mollenauer shaft. Separate investigations into killings and injuries continued in Arnold Gilly and Wildwood areas.
A June 24 dispatch from La Piedad Michoacan reports farmers attacked Patambarlio killing 19 people and wounding three. They seized the town during the mayor's absence to settle an old grudge. Authorities were not named in the early report from La Prensa.

Wiley Post and Harold Gatty completed the Newfoundland leg of their round-the-world flight, landing Winnie Mae near Chester after departing Harbour Grace Newfoundland. They plan Berlin and Moscow legs, aiming for a ten day final total.
