Bugle and Drum Corps Capture Honors at Erie
The Lieut. Archie W. Thompson Post VFW bugle and drum corps, formed weeks earlier, won second prize in the Erie veterans parade. Thirty-two men wore new uniforms as they impressed thousands, with R. W. Brown as drum major and color bearers and guards. The corps earned a silver loving cup for second place at the state convention parade, and the club plans to march forward to further contests. Lazzarina Executed at Bellefonte Penitentiary
Angelo Lazzarina, convicted murderer of Patsy Visuigatdi, was electrocuted at Rockview prison Bellefonte Pa. The first current at 7 02 pm and the second at 7 06 pm ended his life after a final Italian utterance. Prison chaplain Osborne gave rites as executioner Elliott supervised.
