Pain killing drug revealed by Mayo doctor
A Mayo Clinic anesthesiology chief reports a new drug called dolitrone may replace general anesthesia by rendering patients insensible to pain while remaining conscious and able to move. Dr John S Lundy said the drug produces full amnesia and rapid recovery after 127 dental cases. Developed by William S Merrell and Co, it is injected into a vein and could aid obstetric patients by preserving muscle use and stable blood circulation.
