Westfield Fire Causes $15,000 Loss at Paint Shop
A fire at Anthony Baideme's paint shop at 43 Clark Street in Westfield caused about $15,000 in damage. A spilled cleaning fluid and ensuing ignition after lighting a cigarette set flames to the interior, with flames fed by paints and solvents. Firemen fought the blaze for an hour. Baideme, an artist, had no insurance.

Arthur Moore a retired farmer died at Corry Hospital yesterday afternoon at 6 40. He had been in failing health for months. Survived by wife Editha two daughters Mrs John Baroth and Mrs Sid ney Holling three sons Louis Melvin and William a sister and a brother 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Body to Spitzer Funeral Home for service at 2 o'clock with Rev Jessa J Knapp officiating. Interment in Lowville Cemetery.
