Thirteen Steelworkers Hurt In Furnace Blast

Thirteen steelworkers were burned yesterday at U S Steel Fairless Works when an open hearth furnace exploded. Joseph A Holko, 42, of File Res Fills, was admitted to Lower Burks County Hospital in Bristol Township with burns. The 12 other men received treatment at the plant dispensary. A company spokesman said a burner reignited after the furnace had been bricked and went out, causing the blast.

Kennedy Opens Major Texas Salt Water Conversion Plant
