Babson Foresees No U S Russia Shooting War This Term
Babson argues that a shooting war between the United States and Russia is unlikely in the Eisenhower era. He warns of possible brush wars, especially in the Middle East, and examines chemical warfare, atomic threats, and growing Russian economic pressure as risks to the global economy. He cautions that recession could worsen by 1960 without counteracting measures.
