Trepass arrests by railroad officer in Sheffield

In Sheffield on June 19 Officer G O Caldwell of the Pennsylvania Railroad patrolled the Waterl rail property and arrested several trespassers. One Polish man remained jailed after failing to pay fines. Kilok Johnson caused trouble and was jailed 20 days for drunk and disorderly conduct. Johnsonburg Fire at D. Martin & Co Plant Destroys Building

A factory fire at the D. Martin & Co plant in Johnsonburg, caused by spontaneous combustion, destroyed the main building and collapsed within 30 minutes. Farmers endure hard front as spring lags in vicinity

In the Tuesday night scene around farmers, a stiff front lingered with no late spring. Myrtle Rowland hosted the Nix Club Saturday at Mrs. Emerson's home with Olive Cooper from Sugar Grove Irene Jones and Kater Rowland from Corry as guests. A two course lunch followed and Louis Monroe of Dunkirk visited his parents before Amy Orn left for Youngsville to attend summer school. Kenneth Whittaker and wife left for Ohio to visit relatives for a week, D J Sullivan and spouse also involved in local movements.
