Sleeping Youths Run Over By Car in Raleigh
Two Venango County youths aged 17 and 18 were hospitalized in Wake Memorial Hospital Raleigh after being run over by a car while camping near a funeral home. Kenneth Caldwell of Oil City is in good condition and Rodney Stover of Venus is in fair condition. The pair had left Oil City Monday, hitchhiked to Raleigh, and had just graduated Cranberry High School. Stover indicated doctors might operate on his stomach as his pelvis is bent.

Thief Breaks Into Titusville Drugstore in Night Raid
Titusville police say Thompson’s Rexall was burglarized between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1 a.m. Thursday. Two bottles held 800 metobamate tablets and 500 nembutal were stolen. Oil City police later raided a residence, charging William D. Martin 21 with possession of dangerous drugs and Calvin Goodrum 18 with complicity. Martin’s apartment yielded the stolen drugs, paraphernalia, and syringes. both suspects jailed on $1,000 bond.
