June 16 In Chau tauqua county tax rolls across the towns were returned to Mayville at the county treasurer’s office. Notices were mailed to all on the roll urging payment before the tax warrants are sold. Unpaid percentage fell to 12 percent from 14 previous year. total uncollected is 8123.77 versus 93130.41 last year and 211085.01 in 1940.

Willis D Alcorn 32 of Warren has warrants issued for arrest in Kane on passing at least two worthless checks locally. He previously faced bad check charges in Warren County and allegedly passed checks for 10 to Cromain Triangle Store and Burdick Esse Service. Proctor And Dod District To Attend State Conservation Meet
Carl Proctor of PhS county and N. E. Dodd of Columbus will join Pennsylvania's agricultural conservation committee in Pittsburgh for a semi monthly meeting. The session gathers chairmen and secretaries from twenty county committees to study and propose a 1946 program.
