Deighan Pennsylvania Legion Official Dies in Philadelphia
James J. Deighan 41 longtime Pennsylvania American Legion department adjutant died of a heart attack in Philadelphia. A Corry veteran and leader, he attended the 1934 Elmer C Carrier Post rally and had been active in Legion circles for about fifteen years. He previously worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and served with the 304th Ammunition Train, 80th Division.

Harrisburg June 14 Pennsylvania faces no loss of federal highway funds if gasoline tax increases are approved for nonhighway uses, says Warren Van Dyke secretary of highways.
