Coal Contract Split Between Three Dealers for Corry School
The Board of Education decided to divide the coming year’s coal contract for Corry School among three firms Hammond Elevator Company N Gohen and Son Port Pitt Coal Company. Hammond bid 3.78 a ton for soft coal and Port Pitt 41 per ton FOB mines totaling 83762 tons, with a split proposal later to equalize between Hammond and Davish. Anthracite coal to Cohen and Sons at about two years’ supply. Dr Bennett dissented on several motions.

Michael Zambrowe died this morning in Columbus township at age forty eight. He was born in Austria and lived in the area for years. Survived by wife two sons John and Mdwar i and five daughters Jennie Margaret Elizabeth Betty all at Nome and Mrs Jula Kuss of Brie. George Zambro ile of West Aliquippa Pa his parents and one sister in Austria. Funeral at Catholic church in Columbus Thursday and interment at St Elizabeth's cemetery Corry.

About ninety members of the Erie and Warren Young Peoples Branch of the W B T C joined the Corry Branch for a 4 rally at the Baptist Church last evening. The program featured county reports, speeches, group singing, violin and vocal solos, plus a talk on the Wayne encampment. Delegates from Erie County were planned, and refreshments were served during social hour.

Two Officers Die in Crash of Plane
Ridgway June 13 Miss Get inde English daughter of Mr and Mrs William English of Eastaye Aue Emporium is in serious condition at Kaul Memorial hospital St Marys after an auto crash near Emporium Sunday night. Albert Minkitch and George Kamets of Emporium were in the Ford roadster and escaped with slight injuries. The car left the highway near the Boney farm east of Emporium and Miss English was pinned under the vehicle. She faces eight weeks in St. Marys hospital.

Twenty members and visiting ladies attended a Philathea Class meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs A B Corbin in East Washington street. A committee was appointed to collect articles for a Log Cabin School barrel in Morgantown NC, with pickup arranged through local members.
