Flash Flood Devastates Sanderson Texas Killing At Least 13
Emergency crews scoured mud caked Sanderson as a cloudburst dumped up to 11 inches of rain, washing away homes and businesses. The flood left 13 dead, 16 missing, and displaced about 300 residents sheltered in a grade school. Dozens were evacuated to Fort Stockton as authorities fought back the raging waters and tall debris.

Ed ward White, 24, is in critical condition after a solo car crash near a curve where he lost control, struck a utility pole and overturned. He suffered a fractured skull and severe facial lacerations, first treated at Union City Memorial Hospital then transferred to St. Vincent's in Erie.
