Memorial Day Suggestions From 1941 Chair
Merle Amy, longtime 1941 Memorial Day chair, proposes changes to floral offerings and funding for Corry’s observance. He urges a token floral plan, a larger massed choir and a massed band, with funds redirected to the Soldiers' Monument and park maintenance, to guide next year’s program and public approval. He also thanks churches, officials, students, veterans groups, and Postmaster Sullivan for support.
