Beloit High School workers and district officials reached a new contract ending a brief faculty walkout at WHS. Administrators promised updated pay scales and classroom supports, while teachers applauded improved job protections and staffing commitments.

A Mexican Avronaves de Mexico Constellation crashed near San Augustine Peak ten miles from Guadalajara killing all 45 aboard. The four engine flight from Tijuana to Mexico City stopped at Guadalajara then went missing at about 10 01 p m local time in rain. Witnesses reported an explosion as wreckage was found by officials.
Rev Eugene M Westley of North Center street denounces Corry City Council approval of a mandatory Nichols Disposal garbage plan. He notes his own cheaper option and calls for audited receipts, urging city tax funding instead of private collection. UNITED NATIONS delegations showed cautious optimism over a French Tunisian dispute as French Premier De Gaulle and Tunisian President Bourguiba discussed settling tensions. The Security Council held a day of debate while Tunisia demanded withdrawal of French forces and evacuees remained in Tunisia.
In Louisville a car with three women rolled at high speed after a stuck accelerator. Mrs Edna Cissell 33 last to exit. Mrs Robert Puckel and Mrs Charles Miller 20 treated for lacerations. Miller collapsed first, Putik jumped out 300 feet farther. The vehicle veered hit a pole and stopped about 100 yards later.
