Frederick Peter Semanovich was indicted for murder in Dallas for the death of Jill Haslett found beaten in her apartment on May 22. Haslett, 18, and a former Pennsylvanian from Armstrong County allegedly argued over a movie date. A friend heard a noise, saw a man carrying clothes exit the apartment, and later James Webb Jr. found Haslett dead. Webb led police to Semanovich.

Hotel Owner Shot To Death In Youngstown Duke Hotel Owner
In Youngstown Ohio AP report a 31 year old hotel owner was shot dead Wednesday night in his room at the Duke Hotel. His 42 year old common law wife was held on an open charge as investigators said she shot him while demonstrating how to shoot a .22 caliber pistol. Police found Burney lying on the bed with a gunshot wound to the left eye. The wife remained in custody awaiting a corner's ruling.
