Columbus Girl Stepped On By Horse

Denise Harvey six year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Mark Harvey is in satisfactory condition at Corry Memorial Hospital after being stepped on by a horse. She and Linda Turben were trying to catch a horse for riding when another horse kicked the oats bucket, spooking the animal. The frightened horse reared, Denise tripped and the horse stepped on her back. She was rushed to the hospital by her family. x rays were taken with results pending.

Bank teller avoids bank robbery in Highland Park note

A gunman demanded tens twenties and thirties from Wayne Oakland Bank teller Maxine Amos in Highland Park. He fled after failing to obtain any cash as assistant manager Margaret Loftus alerted police. No money was taken.

Two Brothers Die In Stolen Plane Crash

In Pomona California two boys aged 14 and 12 who had read a flight book stole a single engine plane and flew about ten minutes before crashing in a power dive. The plane exploded on impact near a school as a witness heard the engine sputter. Police noted the youths were listed as runaways by their father and had previously been caught trying to taxi a plane at Cable Air Field in Claremont.
