Extensive damage from a thunderstorm lightning strike hit the eight room house of Mr and Mrs John Nadiger on Pone Lane Franklin around 11 45 am. Rocky Grove Polk volunteer fire departments fought the blaze and kept outside walls intact. Damage to the house was about 9500 with furnishings loss.
