Oppenheimer seeks quick review of security ruling

The Associated Press reports that Dr J Robert Oppenheimer asked the Atomic Energy Commission for permission to file a written brief by Monday and to present arguments later after a 2 1 majority majority finding that he remains loyal but poses security risk. His attorneys urged the commission to waive the personnel board review and decide promptly. Oppenheimer, director of the Institute for Advanced Study, declined comment. A security board had ruled he hindered hydrogen bomb progress and associated with Communists but a minority opinion disagreed.
