Car Van Crash Near Walnut Creek Kills One in Ohio Town

A van driven by David Yougin of Fairview left the Lake road embankment near Walnut Creek, killing two instantly and wounding several others. Jamestown Riders Spark Charity Meet in Muddy Track

Enthusiastic crowds witnessed a Jamestown Motorcycle Club meet at the defusing park yesterday afternoon. Albert Johnson won the three mile new event in 4:14, with Lenndall second and Anderson third. Verne Squires won the five mile professional in 8:35 4-5, with Squires second and Hobaugh third. Squires also led the ten mile race for Jamestown with Johnson second and Lendail third after Hobaugh fell. The mile dash saw Monts winning in 4:17. Hit second went to Tonson, while the 20 mile event featured Johnson, Squires, Hobaugh, and Johnson again, with Johnson taking first and Squires second. The meet concluded with a brisk pace but muddy track limited spectacular runs. Overall the crowd enjoyed good sportsmanship and competitive riding without notable bickering.

Injury at home as Mie Howell sustains arm fracture

Mie Howell, the 4 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Daniel Howell of Spring Creek, was injured on a porch while playing. She fell through a gate, dislocating and fracturing her right shoulder. Dr Page of Spring Creek and Dr Kin of Corry attended and treated her, providing comfort and care.
