County Tries Again To Help Fund GECAC

Erie County commissioners took no action at the regular meeting and scheduled a special session to address funding for the Great Erie Community Action Committee. The manpower advisory board recommended cutting funds from federal hiring programs, risking about 200000 for GECAC and 75000 for the OIC, while no new programs would be launched. The move aims to preserve existing projects and disapprove new initiatives.
