A Hydetown youth Cochran, 16, was killed instantly when an automobile driven by Martin Ekblom of Titusville struck him on a highway near Newtown toward Mystic Park. Robert Roof, 15, survived. Ekblom said he was en route to Titusville for a fishing trip and was accompanied by his wife and another woman. Cochran, son of Delmar and Wilma Cochran, leaves three sisters and three brothers.

The broadcast, reportedly recorded by Associated Press and Reuters, claimed the pope wishes to share Rome’s dangers as bishop of Rome while protecting Vatican City. observers doubted the raid claim and noted Axis propaganda aims.
