Mrs Lawrence Nichols and Mrs Carl McIntyre hosted a miscellaneous shower at the former's North Center street home for Mrs Berniece Huntley Betz on a Saturday afternoon. Sixteen attendees plus out of town guests from Chautauqua Union City and Youngsville enjoyed a white glass and ivy centerpiece table with sandwiches cookies nuts mints and coffee while Mrs Betz received many fine gifts.

Miss Martha Edith Preble daughter of H Clin ton Preble and the late Mrs Ethel Preble and Martin Carl Krause son of Mr and Mrs Albert Krause were married yesterday afternoon at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Erie. Elder Raymond Spencer performed the service and a 250 guest reception followed at Walter Rotthoff’s Wattsburg residence. The bride wore a nylon tulle and taffeta gown with a beaded crown and carried white glamellas. The couple plan to reside in Keene Texas after trips to Washington DC.
