Norman Slater of Lovell Station was treated at Corry Memorial Hospital for back and right hand wounds. Authorities reported the juvenile would not be 15 until September and the case is being handled by county officials and state police.
State Police investigated two weekend crashes in the area. At Canadohta Lake a 20 year old Leonard D Amico and 25 year old Paul E Clark collided after D Amico pulled into Clark's path causing 400 dollars in damage. A second crash west of Unison City involved Anna Tertullani 46 of Toledo and Nelson Porter of Waterford when Porter swerved to avoid guard rails and damaged both vehicles.

A Jamestown woman, Marian Warner, 23, dies six hours after a two car crash at Riceville Corners. Her husband Ralph Logan, 68, among 10 injured, is in serious condition. others list fractures and head injuries. State Police report Route 8 and Route 77 collision occurred at 5:30 p.m. with 11 people hospitalized or treated.

Jamestown girl Lydia Cangialesi 16 and husband Gerald Lemieux 28 were jailed 16 minutes after their wedding on a charge of abduction. Lydia had run away from home a week earlier and was held as a minor for falsifying a marriage license. Police traced the couple after her parents asked for help.
